Belmopan police find huge stash of bullets and home made gun

By BBN Staff: Over the weekend, Belmopan police conducted several search operations.

One operation led to the discovery of twenty 45-rounds, fifty-six .223 rounds, ten 16 gauge cartridges, forty-four .9 millimeter rounds, twenty seven 762 rounds and 2 extended magazines for a .9-millimeter pistol.

These were found just outside Belmopan at a location on the George Price Highway.

Another search in the Salvapan area led to the discovery of a homemade 12 gauge shotgun.

No one was in the area during these discoveries so the items were labeled as found property.
