Chester Williams: No apologies for “Jungle”

Posted: Monday, January 13, 2020. 3:53 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Over the weekend Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, accused the Jungle community in Belize City of harboring wanted fugitive, Kenrick Longsworth.

Since then several members of the community have requested an apology stating they would never harbor Longsworth after he allegedly abused his three step-sons and murdered one of them.

Williams today told the press that he has no apology to make.

He added that he does not see the need for one as the police did no wrong.

According to Williams, there were, in fact, several persons who aided Longsworth in moving from the Jungle area to rural Belize.

There were also persons who kept him informed of what was happening in the community post his attack, says Williams.
