Elections and Boundaries warns of impersonators

By BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries department issued a statement warning residents that they have been made aware that there are individuals who are visiting residents to obtain their personal information and claiming to be Elections and Boundaries Department staff.

All staff of the Elections and Boundaries Department is issued with a valid Staff Identification Card.

The public is therefore advised to request such identification card prior to providing any information.

By law, Elections and Boundaries Officers are required to conduct investigations into applications for registration of electors.

 However, at all times officers are to visibly display their identification card when conducting an investigation or any transaction on behalf of the Department.

The public is advised to immediately report any suspicious individuals to the nearest police station.
