By BBN Staff: With the number of travel writing pieces telling people to visit Belize that has been published since the start of the year, it is safe to say that Belize is a trending topic globally as far as tourism is concerned. Men’s Journal, a monthly lifestyle magazine based in the United States is the latest in a growing number of publications that advised its readers to visit Belize.

In its article, “15 Warm-Weather Winter Vacations to Escape the Cold” Men’s Journal puts Belize up there with known tourism powerhouses such as Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, and even Japan, solidifying Belize’s place as a global contender with a unique tourism experience.

“Belize’s thick rainforest—peppered with Mayan archaeological sites—and stunning white beaches open to teeming reefs. It’s perched in the eastern edge of Central America and boasts a paradisiacal coastline set against the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea,” Men’s Journal said.

The article also highlighted the award-winning Turtle Inn in Placencia, which was recently featured in the Condé Nast Traveller’s Gold List Hotels 2020.

The year 2019 was record-breaking for tourism in Belize, with a total of With 503,177 overnight visitors to Belize according to statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism. With repeated travel writing pieces encouraging people from various countries to come and see Belize, 2020 presents an opportunity for the tourism sector to outdo itself yet again.
