Several accidents reported this morning, drive with caution

By BBN Staff: Breaking Belize News (BBN) appeals to drivers to exercise caution as reports of traffic accidents continue to come in.

We have been informed of at least two minor accidents in Belize City this morning, including one on Magazine Road involving a Belize Electricity Limited truck and a motorcycle, authorities are currently on the scene. Earlier we reported on a serious accident on the George Price Highway and there was also an accident in Belmopan yesterday in which a vehicle completely flipped over near the Ring Road.

Eyewitnesses to some of these accidents have told our newsroom that speeding played a factor. We remind drivers that the speed limit within city limits for cars is 25 miles per hour and 15 miles per hour for trucks and busses.
