By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that an increase in shower activity is expected later today, as a cold front approaches the country.
The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy at times tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue mainly over offshore areas this morning, then mostly over central and southern areas this afternoon, increasing and spreading over most areas tonight.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 82 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 70 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 64 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 61 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be blowing North-Northwest between 5-15 knots, becoming gusty at 15-25 knots and the sea state will be choppy to moderate.
A high tide began at 7:27 a.m. and there will be low tide at 12:06 p.m.
The sun will set at 5:41 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 8:35 a.m.
