By BBN Staff: American tourist, Alison Mackenzie went missing while on a catamaran tour in Belize last week.

According to reports, Mackenzie and her boyfriend, Paige Rote, were on a tour as part of a group on Rendezvous Caye and on Friday night was the last time he saw Alison.

By the time he woke up on Saturday morning, Alison was nowhere to be found.

Since then, Belizean authorities began to search for Alison.

Alison’s mother made a plea on Facebook hoping to find others who were part of the group on tour and hoping to find her daughter.

“ We have received 3 different stories about what happened that morning. None of them consistent with the others. We are getting nowhere finding out where she is. It has been 48 hours now, and not only missing, but feared no longer alive,” her mom, Cherie stated.

The tour company, Raggamuffin tours also issued a statement saying that they are cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities with hopes of finding Alison.

Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams told the media yesterday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has offered assistance in this investigation.

Williams says that their assistance is welcome and he is hoping that the result will be positive.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Alison is asked to call the nearest police station.
