Belize City businessman murdered last night

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating the murder of Belize City businessman, Ernesto Williams.

Police responded to the scene around 9:40 p.m. and found Williams lying in a pool of blood. He was receiving treatment from BERT medics.

Investigations revealed that Williams was coming out of a 2- story orange building after socializing, when a few feet away from his vehicle, a lone gunman approached and shot him multiple times.

Williams was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted.
