Man charged for December robbery

By BBN Staff: One person has been charged in connection with a robbery last December, Nadir Mendoza.

It is alleged that last December he was on a motorcycle which approached a horse and carriage and robbed a couple.

Peter Loewen, 32, told police that he and his wife were traveling to San Ignacio when the accused ordered them to stop near the Lower Barton Creek area on Society Hall Road.

Loewen refused to stop and that was when the accused opened fire at them.

Loewen hurriedly stopped and that was when he was struck to the head and robbed of his money.
