Coronavirus: Death toll rises in China

By BBN Staff:  The deadly novel coronavirus, a virus that originated in Wuhan, China has claimed the lives of 170 people, according to BBC News.

A map made by researchers to track the spread of the novel coronavirus shows that there are 8,235 cases of confirmed novel coronavirus across the world.

Of those 8,235 confirmed cases; 8,124 cases of the novel coronavirus are confirmed cases in Mainland China.

Around the world, medical experts are grappling to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.

There have been 5 reported cases in the United States of America and 1 case in Canada.

Several countries have activated their own quarantine plans to deal with the situation.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has been working with Chinese authorities and global experts to learn more about the virus.
