Well-known personality Richard Harrison killed in lumber truck accident

By BBN Staff: This afternoon, an accident claimed the life of well-known writer and businessman, Richard Harrison.

According to reports, Harrison was heading from San Ignacio to Belmopan when a delivery truck loaded with imported pine lumber was heading west to Spanish Lookout.

Just as the truck drove around a curve, lumber began falling off the truck and a barrage of lumber fell on top of Harrison’s SUV causing the fatal accident.

A second vehicle driven by Eric Manzanero was behind Harrison’s and was also caught in the accident.

Manzanero’s vehicle ended up on top of the lumber and he escaped with minor injuries.

Many who knew Harrison, as a businessman, and a contributor to the political discourse, have expressed shock over the news of his sudden passing.
