American national found murdered in her apartment in San Ignacio

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating the murder of an American woman that occurred in San Ignacio.

The body of Ariana Jones,31, was found on the lower flat of her apartment lying face down.

Ariana is the wife of Lloyden ‘Smokey’ Bejerano who was found murdered inside his home in the Oscar Sabido area of San Ignacio in April, 2019.

At that time, Jones wrote on Facebook, “You were murdered in your own home and I’m just crying for the loss of you in this world, for the shitty cycle of crime and violence that we live with here in Belize, with all the destructive decisions people make that lead to these senseless losses.”

Investigations is on-going.
