Twelve Chinese nationals  with flu-like symptoms denied entry into Belize

By BBN Staff: Officials from the Ministry of Health are at the Philip Goldson International Airport where 12 Chinese nationals were denied entry into the main building of the airport due to them demonstrating flu-like symptoms.

The nationals arrived on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles, USA but Belizean immigration authorities reportedly refused to receive them.

The nationals reportedly came from China about 14-days ago and traveled through the USA.

Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero confirmed to our colleagues at Krem News that a team from the Ministry of Health has been deployed at the airport.

The situation currently is that the airlines are reportedly refusing to take them back to the USA.
