By BBN Staff: All around the world, health experts and governments are grappling to deal with the spread of the deadly Wuhan coronavirus.

There are now over 37,000 confirmed cases of the deadly virus in 24 countries

The death toll continues to rise with now 813 deaths from the deadly virus. 811 of these deaths are in mainland China alone and only two are reported in other countries.

This death toll has now surpassed the Sars epidemic that claimed the lives of 774 people.

The United States of America now has 12 confirmed case of the Wuhan coronavirus.

Many countries have established certain travel restrictions for travelers arriving from China and for residents planning to go to China.

After an incident with Chinese nationals at the Philip Goldson Airport today, Belizean officials issued a directive for
all travelers who have been in China within 14 days immediately prior to arrival in Belize be denied entry.

This directive is an overall provisionary measure to prevent the spread of the novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) to Belize and will remain in place until further notice.

But while many countries engage in surveillance measures, Chinese authorities warned in late January that the Wuhan coronavirus can spread before symptoms show.
