By BBN Staff: A report published in The Salt Lake Tribune just minutes ago summarized the testimony of Jacob Kingston, an associate of accused international fraudster, Lev Dermen.
Today, Kingston testified that Dermen visited Belize in 2013 and met with Belize’s National Security Minister, John Saldivar.
When Kingston was asked if he had witnessed Dermen and Saldivar do business together, he replied, “I was there when Levon gave him money.”
The report noted that Kingston said he saw Dermen pay Saldivar stacks of cash in $10,000 increments.
“In 2018, the Belize government issued an audit of its Immigration and Nationality Department. Levon Termendzhyan was listed in it as having received, in 2013, a nationality certificate — a prerequisite for a Belize passport — with little or no investigation as to whether he was a citizen of that nation. The audit said Termendzhyan did not receive a passport,” the article added.
And in addition with those allegations, Kingston said that Saldivar and some personnel from Belize’s Coast Guard took Kingston and Dermen on a boat ride.
A picture taken showed Dermen on a boat with 2 men in orange vests and one of them had a firearm.
Dermen is being charged with conspiracy and money laundering.
