Police: Teenager’s murder caused by George Street-Pregnant Alley beef

By BBN Staff: Police say that the death of Kyla Young, 17, is as a result of the ongoing gang rivalry between the George Street and Pregnant Alley gangs.

On Sunday evening, Young was on Glenn Street socializing and playing cards when a gunman emerged and opened fire.

While her injuries were fatal, her friend, Anselma Flores remains in a critical condition while another friend, John Peters remains in a stable condition.

Police were unable to determine if the injured persons were, in fact, the target or other persons in their vicinity.

Several persons have since been detained pending investigation. In the interim, police have deployed additional manpower to deter any retaliation.
