By BBN Staff: A 52-year-old woman that arrived yesterday in Honduras was taken in by health authorities after the Ministry of Health noted that she had some respiratory problems.
The woman was arriving from the United States but had traveled from Taiwan and reportedly had symptoms of the COVID-19 which, made authorities move swiftly in isolating and doing laboratory tests on her.
According to local reports, the Ministry is conducting tests on the patient to determine her health status.
News broke of the suspected case of COVID-19 and Honduran authorities enacted their protocols at their airport yesterday.
At this time, there has been no confirmed case of novel Coronavirus in Latin America.
