Man drowns trying to swim across Pueblo Viejo Ferry

By BBN Staff: Shortly after 2 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, Corozal police responded to a body found near the Pueblo Viejo Ferry.

When officers arrived they saw the motionless body of Milton Correa.

Police say that when Correa arrived at the ferry, it was delayed as it is under renovation.

As a result, Correa jumped into the river and tried to swim across.

However, while midway in the river he went under-water and drowned as a post mortem examination confirmed.
