UB students walk out of class

By BBN Staff: The National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB) is holding a national demonstration in Belize City today. Sister unions joined the demonstration including the National Student Union of Belize.

Galen University along with other schools informed staff and students that classes were cancelled after the Ministry of Education declared today a non school day in light of the demonstration.

But, the University of Belize is reportedly open for classes today.

Reports indicate that the students staged a walk out this morning because the President refused to allow time for students to attend the demonstration.

The students are now en route to “ Only the People can save the people” the rally in Belize City.
