Team “Core” takes the 2020 “Boom to the City” canoe race

By BBN Staff: Team “Core” took the first place spot in yesterday’s “Boom to the City” canoe race, hosted by the Belize Canoe Association.

The all-male team finished the race with a completion time of 2:37:24. Team NICH followed behind with a completion time of 2:38:10, and the Belize Coast Guard took third place with a time of 2:38:31.

A total of 14 teams competed in the race which began at the Riverside Park in Burrell Boom and ended at the BelCan Bridge in Belize City.

Prizes were awarded for the Male, Female, Mixed, Masters, Juniors, and Intramural categories.
