Belizean nurses off to Taiwan for training

Posted: Monday, February 24, 2020. 2:51 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Five Belizean nurses are to be trained for 18 months at Chi-Mei Hospital in Tainan, southwestern Taiwan.

Chi-Mei Hospital of Taiwan signed a letter of intent (LOI) with the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Belize in February 2019, to provide training in various areas of medical care and treatment to health professionals of Belize.

Ambassador Remus Li-Kuo Chen congratulated these outstanding nurses and wished them not only a safe journey but also fruitful experiences in Taiwan.

The nurses are expected to become the pioneers for many more medical training programs offered by Taiwan.
