By BBN Staff: Participate Learning is a cultural education exchange program that brings together teachers from around the globe to teach in the United States of America.
The main office of Participate Learning is in North Carolina and BBN’s Zoila Gonzalez toured the facilities yesterday.
Gonzalez met Executive Director, Laura Tobal and Participate’s Chief Executive Officer, David Young who shared more about the benefits of teachers becoming global Educators with #ParticipateLearning.
“By having international teachers come to the US and teach in our classrooms, and give students an opportunity to learn about different cultures from a great teacher from another country is life-changing and really makes a difference in the way they see the world, ” Young expressed.
Young said that teachers who have completed their program continue to communicate with Participate Learning sharing their life-changing experiences of teaching in the US classroom and how they have benefitted professionally and personally.
Participate Learning seeks to engage adventurous and brave teachers to enroll in the program and share their culture, knowledge, and experience inside US classrooms and to develop more professionally with training so that the teachers can return home and share what they’ve learned with other teachers and students in their home country.
Young encourages all teachers to apply to the program and become the ‘teacher of the future’ with a wealth of capacity building and experience to share with others on completion of the program.
Some basic eligibility requirements include being able to drive, speak English and have at least 2 years of experience.
