By BBN Staff: Yesterday, tilapia farmers across the country participated in a one day workshop hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) at the National Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds Conference Room in Belmopan.

The forum, dubbed, “Sub-regional Capacity building in Sustainable Food Systems and Value Chain Development” focused on the development of the financial cost of production model surveys.

Additionally, the forum sought to improve technical and financial advisory to farmers.

The forum was spearheaded by Ms. Bree Romuld, FAO’s Agribusiness and Value Chain Development Consultant as well as Ms. Beichen Ding, FAO’S Agribusiness Analyst for the Caribbean.
