Cool and windy weather expected today

The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that mainly fair, mild and windy conditions will prevail over our area.

The 24-hour forecast calls for variably cloudy skies with little or no rainfall expected, except for the chance of periods of light rain which may occur mainly over some southern coastal areas and offshore.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 82 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 72 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 71 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 68 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 58 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be gusty, blowing North-Northeast between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate-rough. A small craft caution remains in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas.

A low tide began at 7:23 a.m. and high tide will come in at 1:14 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:58 p.m. and the moon will rise at 10:00 a.m.
