Posted: Sunday, March 1, 2020. 5:07 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Minister of Health, Pablo Marin surprised an American missionary team today for lunch.

Marin arrived to thank a group of 38 volunteers from a Southern Baptist Church in the United States that arrived on Saturday to serve the children and youth of Belize.

Accompanying him was Dr. Paul Whisnant, who is the founder of International Servants.

Dr. Paul is a dual citizen of the United States and Belize, and was appointed in 2017 as the Honorary Humanitarian Ambassador for Belize.

He oversees a ministry that builds churches, schools and homes throughout Belize, provides food for hungry children through their Feed-A-Child program and treats patients for free in their medical and dental mission clinics.

Dr. Paul has also served as a Southern Baptist Missionary here in Belize for almost 30 years.

The group will be serving and meeting hundreds of Belizean children in southern Belize through March 5.
