By BBN Staff: On February 29, seven staff members of the Taiwanese Embassy in Belize reached the top of Belize’s highest peak, Victoria Peak.
Victoria Peak is the second-highest mountain in Belize and is situated in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
In 1998, it was pronounced a natural monument.
The team climbed the mountain in paying tribute to the ever-lasting friendship between Belize and Taiwan, and raising public awareness of the importance to strengthen the immune system in fighting against the current COVID-19 outbreak.
