Posted: Thursday, March 5, 2020. 7:13 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health issued a statement confirming that there are no confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Belize.

The Ministry says that some persons are in isolation as a precautionary safety measure as recommended by the Ministry based on the individual’s travel history to a country with local transmission of COVID-19.

At present, these cases have not shown any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or any other flu symptom.

The Ministry continues to monitor all these situations on a daily basis.

The Ministry reminds that if there is any suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 in-country, such information will be officially communicated by the Ministry of Health to all the media outlets through their official communication mediums, namely, Facebook pages of the Ministry of Health and the Office of the Director of Health Services.
