Warm weather today, increase in moisture tonight

The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that warm and dry conditions will prevail today, with a gradual increase in moisture tonight.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today with little or no rainfall, except for a chance of an isolated thunderstorm over the Maya mountains this evening. Skies tonight will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with isolated showers or light rain, mostly over the south at first.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 75 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 71 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be gusty, blowing East-Southeast between 10-20 knots, eventually becoming East-Northeast and blowing between 5-15 knots. The sea state will be moderate to rough.

High tide came in at 7:39 a.m. and low tide will occur at 12:01 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:00 p.m. and the moon will rise at 2:03 p.m.
