By BBN Staff: The World Health Organization (WHO) told US media on Tuesday that cash may help spread the coronavirus.
WHO said that customers who use cash bills should consider using other forms of payments as coronavirus may be on the surface of paper bills for days.
The public is being advised to wash their hands after dealing with cash and it is recommended to use contactless technology for payments.
All health experts urge the public to wash hands regularly to avoid the spread of the virus.
The Ministry of Health in Belize also reminds everyone to avoid mass gatherings and to wash hands regularly.
