By Aaron Humes: Premium gasoline rises by 52 cents effective midnight tonight, reaching a former high of $10.92 per gallon, while diesel is headed the other way, down 60 cents to $9.24 per gallon.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Finance states: “These price changes reflect current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.
The Government of Belize is monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.”
The prices for regular gasoline and kerosene remain unchanged at $10.23 and $6.62 per gallon, respectively.
