By BBN Staff: The Belize Home Caregivers Association (BHCA) is conducting a soap drive for the elderly to aid in the efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Having to choose between purchasing medication, food and hygienic products like soap/body wash has been an ongoing problem for elderly persons enrolled in the non-contributory pensions program.
The BHCA says that more than ever, we understand the importance of ensuring that these persons at higher risk of contracting the virus have the necessary items to protect themselves.
