Crystal Bottling Company asks public to not hoard 5-gallon waters

By BBN Staff: Crystal Bottling Co. (Crystal) said today that there is a shortage of 5-gallon waters countrywide and is asking the public’s assistance in addressing the issue.

Crystal issued a statement this afternoon, acknowledging the shortage and assuring the public that the company is is increasing production and increasing purchases of additional five-gallon bottles to meet the market demands.

“And in the interim, we seek your cooperation by asking that you not purchase more five-gallon water than necessary to enable us to meet the needs of all customers,” Crystal said.

In the face if the 5-gallon shortage the company also assured that there is sufficient availability of water pouches, 500 ml, 1 litre, 1.75 litre, and 1 Gallon bottles.

“As a reminder, the price for Crystal Water 5-Gallon is $3.60 when purchased at the Sales Centers, and the retail price at your local store should not exceed $5.50,” the company added.
