Mark Duek, who manages Westrac’s cycling team along with Lorenzo Vanegas said that the race is one year away from becoming a cycling classic.
“We had a very good turnout,” Dueck said. “We have a team and we want to encourage the sport of cycling so we decided to hold it just before the Belmopan Cross Country Classic to help the cyclist in Belize get into better condition for the cross-country.”
Westrac held its 4th annual race in place of the Belmopan Cross-country Classic which was canceled due to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns.
