Three-year-old child also shot in 6th Street double murder

By BBN Staff: A 3-year-old infant was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital this morning suffering from a gunshot wound.

The infant was reportedly inside the house where Philip Leslie and Shakira White were shot and killed last night on the Northside of Belize City.

The baby girl was reportedly inside the home and it wasn’t until after police left that relatives noticed that the child had also been shot.

She was rushed to the KHMH this morning suffering from a gunshot to her knee.

The child is listed in a stable condition.

Leslie, White and another 4-year-old child were rushed to the KHMH after the shooting.

Leslie and White died.

Both children are receiving treatment.

The trio were going to sleep when, according to police, a vehicle was heard stopping nearby folowed by the sound of gunfire.

Police investigations continue.
