Bloodbath! “6 murdered, 4 people shot in 48 hours”

By BBN Staff: Over the last 48 hours, Belize has recorded 6 murders and 4 shootings.

The first to be murdered was Ryan Lucas who was found on Sunday afternoon chopped to death at the Mexico/ Belize border.

Hours later Steven Ferguson was inside his vehicle near West Street and Cemetery Road in Belize City when he was shot.

Fortunately, it was not a life-threatening injury.

That same night there was another shooting but this time on 6th street in Belize City.

Philip Leslie and Shakira White were getting ready for bed when a gunman near their bedroom window opened fire.

They both died.

White’s son, Dominique Rhamdas, was also injured in that shooting but passed away on Monday.

The only one injured but alive is another child, Dasha Rhamdas.

On Monday evening the violence continued.

Earl Baptist was released from the Queen Street Police Station in Belize City and was hoping to take a taxi home from the Majestic Alley Taxi Stand when he was shot from behind.

Fortunately, his injuries were again not life-threatening.

But the same could not be said for a Monday night shooting on Gladden Street in Belize City.

Collet Morter was at home when someone called him outside and opened fire at him.

And sometime around 2 o’clock this morning, violence erupted again on Pitter Street in Belize City.

Francene Reyes and her daughter, Kia Herbert, were inside their home when shots rang out.

In the end, Reyes was left injured but her daughter was left dead.
