Bowen & Bowen extends condolences to family of slain employee

By BBN Staff: Bowen and Bowen Limited is mourning the loss of one of its employees and hoping that another survives following a shooting earlier today.

The company issued a statement this evening, noting that Derrick King and Haywood Brown were caught in the crossfire of a street shooting that happened at the corner of West and Orange Street while making deliveries, and King died as a result.

“There were no signs of attempted robbery. The Police are processing the scene, and we are working with Police Investigators to learn more details about this tragedy,” the company said.

The company added that it is assisting the families of both deliverymen and extends condolences to King’s family.

The shooting happened on the south side of Belize City around 3:00 p.m.
