By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Education has suspended the 2020 sittings of the Primary School Examination (PSE), scheduled for March 30 and April 30, as a part of the ongoing going efforts to combat the global COVID-19 pandemic.
A memo released today, signed by Chief Education Officer Dr. Carol Babb, said that the cancellation of the examinations works in tandem with the decision announced at the COVID-19 Committee joint press conference held yesterday, which also announced the closure of schools as of Friday, March 20.
“As soon as there are new developments, periodic notifications will be sent to all partners in education,” Dr. Babb said.
She also noted that the district-level Festival of Arts scheduled for March-16-20 and all other events that require a gathering of 100 students or more have been suspended until further notice.
The Ministry has also advised that schools should be rolling out home-schooling plans in collaboration with parents.
