By BBN Staff: As measures are being put in place by the Government of Belize to keep everyone safe and healthy from the COVID-19 pandemic, including limiting the amount of people in a gathering to 100, the National Sports Council is suspending all activities at all sports centers countrywide until further notice.
“We are grateful to everyone who has been supporting our sporting activities and workshops to better our young athletes. We look forward to continuing these activities, but we believe that the health and safety of all our Belizeans is a priority,” a statement from the council said.
The council further encourages everyone to limit their social contact and avoid large crowds, while practicing proper handwashing etiquette and other advisories given to us by the Ministry of Health.
Most importantly, stay alert of all of the official updates on COVID-19 distributed by the government.
