Minister of National Security to lawyers: “Don’t sell criminal clients dreams!”

Posted: Wednesday, March 18, 2020. 2:04 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: In light of the implemented state of emergency, national security officials were asked to weigh in on the attorneys who would want to represent their imprisoned clients.

Michael Peyrefitte, Minister of National Security, today said, “As a former defense attorney myself, attorneys must also be true and honest with their clients.”

“The regulations are stiff. Don’t sell your clients dreams,” he added.

According to Peyrefitte, these jailed gang members will not get bail. They will not get judicial relief for 30 days.

He explained, “Attorneys cannot go to station or prison and get out anybody.”

According to Peyrefitte, in seven days criminals will know why they were detained.

In 14 days their photos will be circulated to the public.
