Avianca flights from El Salvador has already stopped coming and the Ministry noted that as of next week Thursday, American Airlines will ground flights that were scheduled for Belize.

Health officials also announced that only two borders entry points remain open, the Philip Goldson International Airport and the northern border with Mexico.

They also urged Belizeans to refrain from using informal or illegal entry points.

Everyone was advised to use the northern land border since there is no screening at the sea port.

The western border and southern border remains closed including Hunting Caye, Jalacte. The Belize City port is also closed except for cargo.

The Dangriga and San Pedro sea ports are also closed.
