By Delroy Cuthkelvin: The first vehicle to cross the new Roaring Creek Bridge this morning, as it was opened for the first time to traffic, was driven by Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Works, Errol Gentle.
The bridge is built 12 feet above the old one, and has two full lanes for vehicular traffic, as well as two pedestrian paths. Higher, wider and stronger, this new bridge is a landmark that puts an exclamation on twelve years of infrastructure transformation by this UDP Dean Barrow Administration.
It was constructed by M&M Engineering of Belize, under the supervision of IMC Engineering based in the United Kingdom.
