By Aaron Humes: The Central Bank of Belize, Credit Unions League and Bankers’ Association have issued guidelines for financial handling in the wake of coronavirus.
Generally, it is advised to avoid face to face contact with financial handling. Where possible, use automated teller machines and online and over-the-phone banking, not handling cash and cheques personally and sanitizing where necessary.
When you have to go to a bank, be sure to use the hand sanitizer they are now required to have on hand and maintain the social distancing protocols. Banks and financial institutions will limit the presence of customers as much as possible to prevent spread.
