Kerosene gets price decrease

Posted: Wednesday, March 25, 2020. 2:45 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize (GOB) announced today that the price per gallon of Kerosene will be going down at the pump.

The Ministry of Finance issued a release this afternoon saying that, effective March 26, the pump price for kerosene will decrease by $1.19 from $6.62 to $ 5.43 per gallon. The Ministry said that the change reflects the conditions of supply and demand for refined fuel products and the fluctuations in acquisition costs from countries that Belize
imports these products from.

“The prices for premium gasoline, regular gasoline and diesel will remain unchanged at $10.92, $10.23 and $8.25 per gallon, respectively,” the Ministry added.

The ministry added that GOB is closely monitoring the supply and demand conditions and is working with the fuel industry to safeguard the prices Belizeans pay at the pump.
