Taiwan embassy extends scholarship application deadline due to Covid-19

Posted: Thursday, March 26, 2020. 9:52 am CST.

By BBN Staff: In response to COVID-19, the Embassy of Taiwan in Belize has made the following adjustments regarding submission of applications and scheduling your interview, effective immediately:

The Embassy will now be accepting electronic copies of scholarship application forms, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs certified diploma and transcripts, CVs, recommendation letters etc.

You can either scan or take pictures of the required documents and submit by email to [email protected]. For those who still wish to submit in person, please schedule an appointment with the Embassy in advance, since our consular service will be closed starting March 24th, 2020.

Interviews for the scholarship will be conducted in the form of a video conference via Skype. The Embassy will contact you for your scheduled interview session.

You are required to apply for a Skype account and provide that information to us.

For those who experience technical issues and still wish to come in person for the interview, please contact the Embassy for assistance.

Deadline of submitting your application to the Embassy has been extended from Tuesday March 31 to Wednesday April 15th due to the pandemic.

The Taiwan Embassy in Belize emphasizes that these preventative measures are designed to protect the health and safety of all Belizean scholarship applicants and all people concerned.
