Over 500 Belizeans have been quarantined since January; 100 more currently on quarantine

By Aaron Humes: Patient Three, a 38-year old Belize City man, had gone out at least once during his self-isolation period after returning from New York on March 20.

It was to get swabbed a few days ago, said Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero.

He could not confirm that he made other trips out.

A total of more than 500 Belizeans from abroad have been quarantined since January and 100 or more are currently in quarantine.

Because Belizeans have still been traveling back and forth, Dr. Manzanero noted, Belize has had to ramp up regulations to this point.
