Employers asked to submit information of employees laid off

Posted: Thursday, April 2, 2020. 5:04 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: An Economic Oversight Team was established on March 16, 2020, to oversee the establishment and operationalization of an Unemployment Relief Program.

This program offers financial assistance to meet the needs of workers who have been terminated or laid off as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Government says that multiple verification levels will be applied to the application process to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability of the Unemployment Relief Program.

Employers who have laid off employees as a result of COVID-19 are being asked to kindly complete the Excel spreadsheet available on the COVID-19 website https://covid19.bz/employers-submission-request/ as soon as possible and email the completed form to [email protected].
