Persons unemployed before Covid-19 shutdown can also get unemployment benefits

By BBN Staff: Belmopan Area Representative, John Saldivar, today posted to social media an update of who can benefit from Covid-19 relief.

According to him, persons unemployed even before this pandemic can benefit.

Assistance will be paid through the Social Security Board and Ministry of Human Development.

Persons unemployed because of the pandemic will be paid $150 every two weeks for a period of 12 weeks.

Those unemployed long before the virus will be paid $100 every two weeks for the same period.
