Travellers Liquors continues to make Sani-Bel hand sanitizer available during state of emergency

Posted: Thursday, April 2, 2020. 5:10 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: While companies that produce wines and spirits are allowed to open during the state of emergency, Travellers Liquors is serving Belize by limiting its operations to the production of its new product Sani-Bel hand sanitizer.

Magali Gabb, General Manager of Travellers told our newsroom that the company has reduced its operations to taking orders in the morning and opening briefly in the afternoons for deliveries and arranged pickups for orders of its Sani-Bel hand sanitizer. Persons and businesses wishing to place an order can call 223-2855, or arrange the order via Whatsapp at 603-1682. Sani-Bel is available in one (1) Litre bottles for only $15 each.

Gabb noted that the change in operations was implemented to protect the company’s employees and customers from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). She added that Sani-Bel is made from a formula issued by the World Health Organization. This formula is being used throughout the region by members of the West Indies Rum and Spirits Producers Association (WIRSPA), that are making hand sanitizers in the fight against COVID-19. One of Travellers products, ethanol is used as a main ingredient in the hand sanitizer and as a result the hand sanitizer should not be consumed and should be kept away from heat, fire and children.

Breaking Belize News (BBN) considers this as a great positive move by a progressive company, and encourage Belizeans to support Travellers by buying this locally produced Sani-Bel hand sanitizer.
