Very warm temperatures expected today, stay cool and hydrated

The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that warm and dry weather conditions will prevail over the country today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today and clear to partly cloudy tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected, while seasonably very warm temperatures persist today, especially over inland areas.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 83 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 70 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

The Met Services has issued an advisory stating “With very warm temperatures continuing today especially over inland areas, persons are advised to stay hydrated and seek shade or shelter from under the sun as much as possible.”

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 00‐15 knots and the sea state will be slight.

High tide came in at 6:10 a.m. and low tide will occur at 10:20 a.m.

The sun will set at 6:06 p.m. and the moon will rise at 12:49 p.m.
