Belize Covid-19 website down due to increased traffic; maintenance currently being undertaken

Posted: Friday, April 3, 2020. 1:09 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The government of Belize announced earlier that its COVID-19 website is currently experiencing technical problems.

The Government Press Office released a statement earlier noting that the site is down due to increased traffic.

“We are currently doing maintenance and it should be back up shortly,” the Press Office said.

The increased traffic may be linked to this morning’s confirmation of a fourth confirmed case of COVID-19, which was announced by the Ministry of Health this morning. Prime Minister Dean Barrow released a statement following the confirmation, and we will have more on this in
a subsequent article.
